I've been meaning to get into it myself. It's definitely gaining a lot of popularity. I see a lot of huge companies moving toward it.

There are a ton of companies using this now. I'd be interested to see if anyone recommends some good tuts?? I'm trying to learn/

well react has been developed by facebook from really specific uses which not every website has.
i don't like the "module oriented frameworks" like backbone, react. angular2 ...
BUT if have to choose, i might go for vue.js which pretty light wight and easier to use.

I've been enjoying React, it's nice in that it doesn't have a whole lot of "magic" under the hood like Angular and it's unlikely to vanish suddenly because Facebook is behind it. It's clean, efficient, easy to reason about, what's not to like?
