No time. Even just potting them takes a while.

Does anyone know if I can use kingsford for my potting charcoal? Pretty sure it has chemicals but double checking with you guys.

Nah man don't use that. Tons of wood charcoals are ok because they are natural, but Kingsford charcoal has additives like what you would find in lighter fluid. It's what gives it that funky smell.

Totally ok to grill with, but I guarantee it would damage grass, and especially gnarly for potting soils.

You can get some nice rounds and make your own charcoal and use that, and your plants will love it. If you have any other questions holler at me.

My grandparents had over 860 acres in Heppner, Oregon and we did all sorts of yard maintenance and lawn care, as well as field work my entire youth. I remember your question being asked specifically by my uncle Randy when I was about 12. Random as fuck but just looking out lol.
