He'd be the steal of the draft even as the #1 pick. He's actually one of the all-time greats who would be better in today's game than he was in his own time. Imagine a guy who rebounds better than TT but can score at will, too. Snap city, I wouldn't be surprised if he averaged 25 & 25 in today's game just b/c defenses are forced to be soft by the rules and nobody rebounds.

A 6'6" 250lbs power forward. He was certainly a good athlete (otherwise he wouldn't have been able to win rebounding titles) but if we take Barkley from then and plug him into the NBA now, he's probably an average, maybe slightly above average athlete. Couple that with his poor size, he'd certainly be outmatched by quite a few power forwards. He couldn't play the 3 very well since he couldn't shoot from deep a lick, so he'd be stuck being an undersized, average athlete than can't stretch the floor, playing in an era of exceptional athletes that can shoot from anywhere.

I'm sure he'd be drafted, but he would probably be average at best today.

He'd easily be a top 3 PF

Maybe even the best (would be close with Dray and AD)

It's not about his athleticism. It's about his heart. I think he would be a way better than average athlete, but it's his sense of the game and his heart that made him special and which would make him special today, too. In today's game I think athleticism is the trend, but I also think players lack heart compared to say the 80s & 90s. TT gets boards because he wants to get the f*cking ball. That's how Sir Charles operated at both ends of the floor.

He'd be amazing but there's no way he'd average 25. I doubt he'd even average 15.

I think if he was a product of this era (ie. training and such) he could be. But I think if you transported Barkley from his rookie year and plugged him into the NBA now he'd be average

You mean his hip? Maybe, I think so. He went to see Craig in hospital after his surgery against Dr's orders. Charles tries to be a huge dickhead on TV but he has a kind heart if you're not trying to win a rebound against him.

lol well he always had a soft side but he was a ferocious player

MJ exploited his softness a few times. I think he actually got him a gift or something before a big game and mindfucked him out of playing well.

Even by today's standards Chuckster would be a ridiculous athlete and one of the most dominant players in the league.
