Looking to make a company logo for my house painting business, any suggestions on where to start/how to start?

open up design software

draw a picture relating to business
add business name using text

??

but how would one without a design program make something like this...

Start by posting in here, https://forums.d2jsp.org/forum.php?f=111. Give them a budget to work with. If you're serious about the logo you should be offering anywhere from 3k - 5kfg. This will actually get people that know what they're doing, to attempt

If you offer a couple hundred. You will get logo attempts that took 5 minutes in photoshop and probably aren't even vectored and look pretty bad

Try to avoid saying "Idk what the price is, you tell me". Just come up with a budget and tell them your budget. Then you guys can work something out

People tend to forget that FG's value isn't actually that high. Its about $1 = 100fg. So if you're offering a couple hundred fg for your logo. Expect a logo thats worth a couple bucks

Also always check with other people before buying something. If you're new to graphics, you might get ripped off with a crappy piece of work. So if you have doubt, always ask in here

As for the what? What is your business about, what do you sell/do. It helps to let the artist know all these things so they can make something that fits your brand

Use Adobe Illustrator for logos, it gives much higher quality.
