Hello everyone,
so I just want to come out with this subject:
nudity.
It's been more than 11 yeas that I'm browsing d2jsp and this always been a problematic subject.
As in any other forum and/or social network I understand there should be a sort of morale to follow in order not to offend any user.
Obviously any kind of pornography would be banished anywhere and I totally agree with that.
However how about nudity? I mean, according the rules even posting a Michelangelo's David picture would be
prosecutable with a warn and/or suspension.
Let's bring it to a even more narrowed way of thinking: the Venus de Milo.
Venus de Milo is a 2100+ years old ancient Greek statue which shows...
nipples. According to the rules that would be forbidden as well.
So I am a graphic designer and before graduating in Graphic Design and Art Direction I also attended the Artistic High School were we were drawing from a nude model (male) on the daily basis.
Now let me get this together, unfortunately
90% or more of the internet is porn. ANYTHING you will search on google has for sure a porn version (thanks rule34).
Somehow this world is sick but we gotta deal with that. But...how can we be "shocked" by a 2100 years old marble nipple?
My point comes due the fact I made an illustration inspired to Hajime Sorayama's works which shows (brace yourselves) a
steel nipple.
It's basically a female robot posing as a pin-up, nothing more.
I'd like to show you guys this piece but seems I can't, it's too much.
What do you think about it?
Let me repeat myself, I do understand there must to be some kind of rules but don't you guys think this is being a bit
eccessive? Shall it be revisited?
Maybe with a subforum where anyone who enters is showed a
"Hey, you may eventually see a nipple here! Leave if you are too sensitive!"Also, in addition to that, here we talk and share screenshots of games where fictional characters are brutally murdered and mutilated. Is that less shocking than some uncovered skin?
I HOPE I will not be warned/suspened just for talking about it. I'd like to remind everyone we are in 2017.Thank you!
