I am doing a paper basically we are just answering questions on what things are on a computer and this question here has me stumped.
What is the Windows Explorer?
my question is, was windows explorer just a windows 8.1 thing and before and they changed it to File explorer in windows 10?
Any help is appreciated.

Windows explorer is the Microsoft term for the gui file manger. When you open what used to be "my computer" that is within Windows explore, if you're looking at a bunch of files in a folder, that's Windows explorer.
