Part of that has to do with the QBs, but you won't hear an argument from me that Oakland hasn't had one of the elite OLs the past 2 seasons. Certainly a major factor, but Carr is much better than Bortles atm.
Of course part of it has to do with the QB, it still doesn't change the fact that a great OL makes a QBs job wayyyy easier. Bortles was literally running for his life his first 2 seasons.
Carr was also just about as polished as a QB could be coming out of College. He's had the best of the best football wise, all his life. He was prepared to be a NFL QB from a very young age and has always been around the NFL game.
It wouldn't be good if he wasn't farther along than Bortles is considering how raw Bortles was when he came out of College.
