Why are there more winstons/sombras? did they get a buff?
on that note, which champions directly counter winstons?

Reaper doesn't do anything if the Winston is doing peel for his team instead of diving in
Reaper also doesn't do anything if Winston engages away from him and blocks his shots with the shield

Winston is not very tanky the best counter is to focus him right through the shield

Roadhog is good too though. Winston has a decent sized head hitbox so a hook and proper shot to the face will drop him. Less so after nerfs but still applies.

Yea, roadhog shit on winston so much, so once the nerf hit and no one picking roadhog, it makes winston a lot more viable.

Do NOT symmetra against winston, that is a complete lie.

SOLDIER: is a very reliable pick against winston because you can land all your bullets into him, build up your ult fast,
and if you set your heal down early enough you will be able to 1v1 him because his damage per second is pretty low.

TORB/HANZO/WIDOW: are decent if you're good about aiming but you won't be able to get right in his bubble and fight him.

LUCIO: is a great healer in the Winston meta because he counteracts Winstons AOE attack
and he can survive much longer if he's jumped by winston.

ZENYATTA: can orb winston and down him very fast, but the bubble sometimes prevents that
so you would have to have a coordinated team for him to work

Symmetra is the worst pick into Winston
Your turrets become useless and he beats you in an auto aim vs auto aim fight
