PCpartpicker.com and both Corsair and G.Skill have sites that will check for compatible RAM.

Yes, CCleaner is free and will clear all the crap out of your computer.

Dude, CCleaner has no real time component. It adds nothing to any resources. :/

actually it does stay active normally and does start up with the machine.
it also doesn't really speed up a pc.

he more or less is talking about those optimizer tools that boast the ability to speed up ones pc by turning off other applications.

here to further prove my point this shows you how to turn off monitoring on ccleaner
https://www.piriform.com/docs/ccleaner/ccleaner-settings/changing-monitoring-settings-ccleaner-free

"By default, CCleaner will check your PC every 8 hours and take action if cleaning will save more than 0.5GB of hard drive space."

Well, I guess maybe the newer versions may have that setting on by default. I dunno.
I have version 5.06 and it is off by default.

You still have to turn off the check for updates feature, but it allows you to do that during install.

Neither of these (which I agree, should be off) mean that CCleaner itself is a bad program. I sort of assume that most folks are smart enough to check the "settings" of ANY program they install.

Actually, if you are one of those folks that doesn't take browser or windows maintenance, seriously...CCleaner, will do it in one click.

It's not recommended by EVERY computer mag, for no reason.
