I'm a mid 500s traditional puller but tried sumo today and could barely pull 405 x 2...

Anyone here ever tried to transition?

I gave up after 2 sets and went back to traditional.

I like sumo just because of my shit ankle flexibility makes it nearly impossible to keep my back neutral. I can pull 405 x2 sumo, and only 405 x1 traditional.

Monster walks are a great accessory movement with super heavy bands to strengthen your glutes and activate your hips.

I tried sumo twice, not for me! At 6'5" it wasn't the right style for me.
