I was thinking of Ibuypower, or Cyberpower, but ended up going with a prebuilt (sad face) Alienware computer only because of the interest free credit they offered, and that when going in thinking I would be well paying over Ibuypower's and Cyberpower's prices, but actually with their discount codes, i was WAY WAY WAY cheaper on the alienware than any of the prebuild websites and I got the 0% interest on Dell's Credit! cant go wrong, had the computer about a month now and LOVING IT! GTX 1080, i7-7700k processor, 32gb memory, liquid cooled, 27 inch g-sync monitor, and a bunch more in the system for under $2000. when if you build the same computer on any other website it is $2500+

I've compared prices between custom pc builders and individual components and the price difference is usually minimal, especially when you account for the hours spent building it if you do it yourself. Building yourself is awesome (I built mine) but I've never understood the elitist hatred for buying prebuilt custom. For most people it's probably even better because they'll do a better job with cable management than a beginner.

The physical assembling only takes like 30 mins sure, but what can take hours is setting up the os, drivers, all of the programs i intend to use, optimizing everything to be how i want it, logging into everything, dicking around with scheduling and services/startup, trimming every single feature i don't plan to utilize to make it as lightweight as possible, etc. You at least get an OS setup already when you get prebuilt (I think?) but it'd be windows 10 so I'd have to wipe it anyway and the actual installing of the os is a small part of the process.

Prebuilts also probably come with drivers installed too but again.. small part of the process.
