Chicken is 7 dollars a pound here. Seeing that price makes me sad.

Lots of places in Canada it costs that much. Steak is even more.

Just a little thread to post up your meal prep photos and recipes for the guys/gals that are always asking for ideas.
Maybe include prices for grocery purposes if you're so inclined?

Recipe

10 Chicken Legs : $.79/lb.
Asparagus : $1.00
1pk Bacon : $4

Coat thawed chicken legs in olive oil, apply seasoning of choice (I used garlic powder, rosemary, onion powder, salt, and pepper), bake at 425F for 25-35 minutes.
Cut bottom stalks off asparagus, wrap 2-3 pieces per 1 piece of bacon. Bake on a cookie sheet at 425F for 12-18 minutes (depending on how tender you like your asparagus.

That's it!

Nothing fancy, nothing difficult. Just a quick, easy, and cheap meal prep.

Your turn!

Turkey Kielbasa w/ Sweet Potatoes and Peppers

Recipe:
Calories 350-450 per meal.

Turkey Kielbasa : $4/pack @ 500 calories/pack
Sweet Potatoes : $.49c/lb. x 1 @ 115 calories per cup (cubes)
Green & Red Peppers : $.50c each x 3 @ 40 calories each

Two packs of kielbasa and one sweet potato made roughly 4-5 meals worth depending on portion sizes.

Cook kielbasa in a pan on 6-7 heat until thoroughly cooked through (no pink in the middle), roughly 15-20 minutes.
Cook sweet potatoes on medium heat in a separate pan w/ olive oil for 15-18 minutes or until appropriately tender.
Add chopped peppers to sweet potato pan, add a little more olive oil (maybe 1 tbsp), and salt and pepper to taste.
Cook for roughly 10 minutes on medium heat or until peppers are tender.
Add kielbasa to vegetable pan, and enjoy.

Also great eaten cold!
