Just a little thread to post up your meal prep photos and recipes for the guys/gals that are always asking for ideas.
Maybe include prices for grocery purposes if you're so inclined?

Recipe

10 Chicken Legs : $.79/lb.
Asparagus : $1.00
1pk Bacon : $4

Coat thawed chicken legs in olive oil, apply seasoning of choice (I used garlic powder, rosemary, onion powder, salt, and pepper), bake at 425F for 25-35 minutes.
Cut bottom stalks off asparagus, wrap 2-3 pieces per 1 piece of bacon. Bake on a cookie sheet at 425F for 12-18 minutes (depending on how tender you like your asparagus.

That's it!

Nothing fancy, nothing difficult. Just a quick, easy, and cheap meal prep.

Your turn!

I'm pretty boring with my meal preps. It's usually just chicken breast, rice, and some frozen vegetables.

I generally bake all my veggies in the oven. Partly because I prefer the flavor, and partly because I don't own a microwave. I've always eaten leftovers cold, ever since I was younger. So I saw no reason to go ever go buy one.

I usually boil 1kg chicken filet, cut it up in parts and put portions of 200gr in small containers, pour some sweet chili sauce over it.

On the day I bake it, put some flour on it to keep the chicken moist and tasty and cook some pasta or rice with it.

Mostly beans with it. Or some salad.

I don't have a microwave either. I usually just bring meals to work and use the one there. If I have one at home and heat it up in the oven the meat is all dry <_<

Chicken is 7 dollars a pound here. Seeing that price makes me sad.

Chicken thighs and legs are .69c to .79c a pound year round where I'm located. There's a little farmers market down the road that always has cheap chicken, eggs, and veggies.
