I know this isn't 100% programming related, but I hope someone can help.

I helped design a new website for my dad's law firm. I used Wix to design the site, did it from scratch and just used their tools. Did the photography, all that, got it looking great & google analytics are great.

Anyways, here's the trouble:

- Apparently there was a company that "managed" the website.
- There's a 2nd company that "manages" the emails.
- Some other 3rd company used to host the site.
- Another 4th company created the (really shitty) original site...

My questions:

- I've transferred the domain over to GoDaddy, and linked to Wix.
- The old emails end in "@____.ca".
- I want to transfer those emails to GoDaddy without causing downtime.
- What the hell do I do?
- How the hell does this work? If we own the domain name through GoDaddy, how are the emails ending in the domain name still up? I read something about the DNS not changing, but I don't know anything about this.
- We just want to centralise everything -- Wix for most things, GoDaddy for the domain name, and hopefully GoDaddy or Wix for hosting the emails (using the same @____.ca ending). As things were, we hardly knew who was doing what (a tech guy set up stuff and automatic payments were pretty much handled for years to keep things up).
