don't know anything really; actors, network, whether it'll be a true 'remake' or have a standalone plot.

it'll probably be very bad

I never liked live action.
The main reason anime is my preferred media type is because it can do things that can't be done with human actors.

Although I do want to see the ghost in shell movie...

well Cowboy Bebop isn't too crazy of a fantasy or anything.
just a Space Opera of sorts (mixed with some other stuff) so it does have the potential for a decent live action. (Star wars or even Guardians of the Galaxy exists after all)

though i'ts been quite awhile since i watched it, wasn't it kind of episodic with a little base plot that progressed eventually?
lots of stuff would be cut if that was the case to make the main story line work within time constraints.
which would hurt the finally product and how the western fans see it, even if it turned out to be a pretty decent movie.

really when it comes down to anime adaptations. Live.Die.Repeat/Edge of Tomorrow (All you need is Kill) has been my fav one so far.
have yet to see the GitS but i'll check it out eventually as well.

Why do they keep doing this?

Has there been a live action anime yet that hasn't been complete trash?

people seem to universally praise the Kenshin films, aside from that it's a toss-up.

they did 2-3 if i'm not mistaken, ye.

from what i've heard about GitS, it's probably not bad as a standalone film but they really misrepresent the Ghosts, especially Major. she's whiny, not comfortable in her own skin, lacks leadership.

i think the only thing going for this Bebop adaptation is that the show naturally has a 'western' flavor. worried about casting, especially for Spike/Ed and if they don't have a Seatbelts OST i'm out
