Hey guys just an updated in here. Pretty fucked up!
So Asus mailed me with an offer to fix the issue on the keyboard lighting, 1000$! because the LED connector on the motherboard got messed up by fluid damage from the previous owner. The RAM, CPU and so on is soldered onto the motherboard why the huge cost. (a new one is around 1050$)
I was furious and texted the seller to ask him what he would like to do in this situation. Fortunately he was an honest person, he found out a mate of him which borrowed the PC for a few weeks for school had spilled coffee down into the keyboard without telling him.
He offered to trade back and cover the Asus service as well. But found out we both had the same insurance company so we could take it through there, because i kinda liked this PC specially for the 700$ used i couldn't find anything near better.
He wanted to cover the insurance fee plus giving me an extra 150$ for the trouble.
The insurance company decided to give me back the cash equally to a new Asus UX501VW 1050$
Today Asus mailed me with an reminder (2x reminders and the product get send back and you charged 90$ service fee).
So it seems like the insurance company didn't contact Asus to get the product destroyed.
So I pretty much ended up with 1110$ and probably the laptop as well!
The only thing currently wrong with the laptop is some keys around the middle area is not very bright. probably around 20-30% of the rest.
