Been a while since I have posted.. I started graduate school last fall and haven't had much time to hit up sales or play games :(

Picked up a couple things this month though:

Bust-a-Move Bash! for Nintendo Wii
Boom Blox for Nintendo Wii

A couple neat puzzle games.

I have a lot of nostalgia for bust-a-move. I used to play it for hours on the N64.
It's a simple puzzle game where you match colored balls to break apart a mass that slowly ascends to the bottom of the screen.
Features characters from Taito's Bubble Bobble.
The Wii version is pretty faithful to the older versions of the game.. nothing fancy but I think it is fun :)

Boom Blox is usually regarded as one of the better titles for the Wii's endless library of shovel ware.
I don't know why Speilberg's name is attached to it.
It's kind of like angry birds before angry birds was a thing. It's just okay imo.

Got them both for $5 at Goodwill.

Metroid Prime for Nintendo Gamecube
Metroid Prime 2: Echos for Nintendo Gamecube

Pretty happy to add these games to my library.
Heard such good things but I have never played a non side scrolling Metroid game!

Got a nice little deal, bundled them together for $15 at Half Priced Books.
I hope I'll have some time to play them soon :)

Capcom Fighting Evolution for Playstation 2
Time Crisis 3 for Playstation 2

a couple choice PS2 titles.

The first is a collection of 5 popular capcom arcade games (street fighter, etc.)
I actually don't have a way to play PS2 games right now, but I am happy to pick up collections of good retro titles for a cheap price.

Time Crisis might be my favorite arcade game! Well, I really love the Simpsons arcade game so maybe I should say it is my favorite shooter.
I don't plan on getting lite guns, I don't have a TV it will work on, and I don't even have a way to play it lol.
I'm going to hang on to it though because I'm just a fan of the series. Maybe I'll find a way to play it someday :)

Got them both at Half Priced Books for $2.

Picked up a couple new games today:

Onimusha for Playstation 2
Legend of Zelda Four Swords Adventures for Gamecube

Picked up Onimusha at Goodwill for $2.

This is the second copy I have found at Goodwill.
I sold the last copy but kind of regretted it. I think I'll hang on to this one.

Traded in some things plus $10 for Zelda at my local game shop.
It is super clean and complete!

Mostly traded in a lot of odds and ends of things that aren't worth the time to sell online.
Also some "greatest hits" titles or things I just don't even have the ability to play (lke 360 games).

Traded in:
Alan Wake (360)
Red Dead Redemption 1 (360)
Dark Void (360)
Brutal Legen (360)
NBA 2k13 (Ps3)
Dynasty Warrior 6, Japan (Ps3)
Madden 2003 disc only (Gamecube)
007 agent under fire players choice (Gamecube)
Devil May Cry 2 greatest hits (PS2)
Prince of Persia Royal Swords (Wii)
A N64 power supply
A 3rd party SNES controller.

Really just a bunch of junk taking up space for a quality Zelda game.
No regrets! :)

Getting those Metroid games last week has made me want to add to Gamecube library..
Here is my collection of games now:

I typically go for quality over quantity when collecting..
I have some pretty choice titles as it is (lucky to get Fire Emblem used at Gamestop like 10 years ago for $20)

But my modest library is missing some great games that I have never played!

I want Mario Sunshine, MarioKart Double Dash, Beyond Good and Evil, Pikmin 2, WINDWAKER, and some other goodies.
I'll probably be searching for some deals..

Anyone have any recommendation for under the radar Gamecube games?
Would love to add some other things on the cheap! haha :)

Profit:$608/$573/-$35

Finally got around to listing some stock to sell.

I realized I never posted these two finds:

Grand Theft Auto 2 Collectors' Edition for Playstation1
Easthworm Jim Menace 2 the Galaxy for Gameboy Color

I'm not really a fan of GTA.. but the game sells for around $10
Picked it up at goodwill for $2

Earthworm Jim I got at Half Priced Books for $1

It's a standard action platformer... I found it pretty dull.
I remember really liking the Earthworm Jim games on the Genesis as a kid.
Maybe those games have aged poorly too? I don't really remember it enough to know if this Gameboy version is similar.

Oh well, I sold it today!

Sold a little gameboy lot for $50:
Metal Walker (GBC)
Metal Gear Solid (GBC)
Earthwork Jim (GBC)
Kirby Amazing Mirror (GBA)

Metal Gear Solid is the only decent game of the lot, and a good condition copy goes for around $50 alone.
Mine was in poor shape and needed the battery to be replaced.
Fun game, but didn't feel the need to keep it around.

Would rather have the money to get some Gamecube games :)

Kind of a random pick up today:

Azure Dreams for Playstatsion 1

Found it at Half Priced Books for $25. A little steep compared to my usual pickups but 25 was a steal.
I have heard of this game but didn't know much about it.

It's a JRPG with some mild pokemon elements thrown in from what I gather.

Seems like a cool game but I will probably just sell it off.
I like JRPGs but this just seems a little too weeb for me lol

Anyone play this game? :)

Picked up a small gamecube lot from an internet auction..
It was a little more expensive than I usually pay, but a pretty good deal:

Summoner: A Goddess Reborn for Gamecube
Alien Hominid for Gamecube

I don't know much about Summoner. Seems like an Western Style RPG with a female protagonist.
I guess it reviewed well? I'll have to check it out!

Alien Hominid is complete but in rough shape.
I don't really mind, I bought this lot pretty much for this game!

A great arcade style run and gun shooter.
It's basically a cell shaded metal slug with no shortage of style.

I think it is one of the earliest indie games released on 'modern' major consoles?

I've been having a lot of fun with this game so far! :)

Bloody Roar for Gamecube
Metal Arms: Glitch in the system for Gamecube

Bloody Roar is one of the handful of arcade style fighting games on the system.
Not as good as Soul Caliber 2, but a cool game to have!

Metal Arms seems like an interesting 3rd person shooter.
I've never played it, but It has voice acting done by Dan Castellaneta!
I'm a huge Simpsons nerd so I'm curious to check it out! :)

Hunter The Reckoning for Gamecube
Super Monkey Ball 2 for Gamecube

Hunter The Reckoning is a table top game turned arcade brawler hack and slash.
Heavy horror themeing in this game, you cut through zombie like monsters with a cross shaped sword.

Never played it.. maybe it's fun!

I love Super Monkey Ball! Sega arcade fun at its best!
I actually already have a copy that is complete and in better shape.
Great game, but will be resold!

And finally, Spartan: Total Warrior for Gamecube

This game seems very similar to Hunter the Reckoning, except set in ancient Rome.
An arcade style brawler where you cut through hordes of enemies.. almost reminds me of Dynasty Warriors.
Developed by Sega? cool!

Unfortunately, it came in this horrible Hollywood Video box..

It bothers me enough that I may sell it off to recoup some money.

Paid $65 for this lot.. 7 quality Gamecube games for under $10 each is hard to beat.
A lot of these titles aren't too common either..

There will be more opportunity to find good deals on the Zeldas and Mario games.. here's to hoping! :)

Sold Super Monkey Ball 2 for $10

Went to my local game store the other day.
Found something random to pick up in the bargain bin

Burnout for Gamecube

It was 50%..$5 is a fair price for a pretty common game.
Especially one that is complete and in good shape!

I have a lot of nostalgia for Burnout.
This is a game I had on PS2 as a kid and I sunk a lot of time into it!

Fun arcade style racer with very over the top crash scenes (fpr it's time anyway).
I really like racing games. I'm excited to see how this one has aged :)

Profit: $696/$691/$5
