A couple new pickups!

Been having more success with gaming related stuff..
Would rather be picking up games though lol

Anyway, here is what I got:

Diddy Kong Racing N64 - Strategy Guide
Banjo-Kazooie N64 - Strategy Guide
Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII PSP - Strategy Guide

A nice little group of guides!
All in nice shape with foldout maps.
Got them all at Goodwill for $1 each!

Been making more of an effort to find guides when thrifting.
I usually find them cheap.
Some carry some decent value too!

I think they are pretty neat.
But it is not something I necessarily want to collect..
Although, I have considered hanging on to some.
Would be cool to have some GCN guides to match my collection.
But these, I just plan to flip!

I think the N64 guides are the coolest find here.
Nostalgic to think about when guides weren't easy to find online.
However, the Crisis Core guide is apparently the real gem.
I've seen it sold online for >$100 :o
I think that might be a bit unrealistic..
But I think I can flip it for a nice deal!

Got these for $3 :)

Money Spent: $3438
Total Sales: $3533
Profit: $95

Guides are sweet not many people collect them, SNES is where the money on a whole is at. Super Metroid, Link to the Past, Chrono Trigger etc... I need to get back in to guide collecting myself I don't think I'm missing too many genuine nintendo players guides.

I'm up to around 100 guides myself.

Impressive list of guides! 🙂

I would love to have that Pikmin or Path of Radiance guide. Two of my all time favorite games!

For real! I have actually had better luck recently flipping books/dvd’s than video games. It’s getting harder to find video game deals but at least I have other things I can hunt down :)

Couple new pickups from the flea market.
Been having some good thrifting luck lately :)

Here is what I got:

Armored Core 2: Another Age - PS2

A good game from a well regarded mech series..
This is kind of an expansion pack to 2.
It promised online multiplayer.. but didn't deliver.
They did tweak some controls and add extra missions though!

Armored Core games used to be pretty affordable..
However, the announcement for AC6 has drove up the price.
It is kind of crazy tbh.

I picked this up for $8.
It was in a bin with a bunch of over-priced common games.
I don't collect PS2 so I picked it up to flip..
Gotta sell it quick while the demand is high.
However, I probably will take a ~medium offer on it.
I feel a little slimy about flipping stuff like that.
But a good scoop nonetheless.

Metroid Prime (Versus Book) - Strategy Guide

Map is not included and it is damaged.
Really, there is not a lot of value here.
However, I was just saying it might be cool to collect GC guides!

it was only $3.
It felt like fate; I had to grab it lol

Flipping through it has been fun.
It also talks about how to unlock NES Metroid.
I had no idea you could!

You have to beat Metroid Fusion and connect the GBA cable.
I have Fusion and have beat it..
But I don't have a GBA cable T_T

I should really pick one up.

Been having good luck lately.
I've made a ton of sales!

However, my budget is still pretty tight.
Spending a lot on my upcoming wedding.
So even though I'm in the green...
I can't really make any big gaming purchases.

I definitely have my eye on some stuff.
Maybe in the fall I will splurge a bit
For now, I'm just seeking out affordable stuff.

To that end, I picked up a couple new things:

Sphynx and the Cursed Mummy - GameCube

This game has recently been on my radar.
Looks generic and like maybe a licensed title
(I don't think it is??)
But it is apparently a 3D Zelda Clone.

Certainly not as high quality as Zelda.
But a 3D environmental puzzle game.
It is relatively short, and a little jank.
I hear it is a bit of a hidden gem though.

Looking forward to trying it out!

The Hobbit - GameCube

Another hidden gem of sorts.
Not an amazing game..
But a cool (and short) action adventure.

It came out before the movie.
I'm curious to see how they adapted the book.
I definitely have some love the LoTR franchise..
Can't wait to check it out :)

Really happy with the condition too.
I love when games have little extras.
That trading card is a treasure.

Got these at my LGS
Paid $35 for the pair.
Pretty much market rate.
But they are complete and in nice shape.
Looking forward to playing them.

Especially happy to get some new GameCube games :)
It has been awhile!
