Couple new pickups:

Darkwatch - Playstation 2

Found this at a pawn shop for $3
Never heard of it really..
But it stuck out as a Capcom title.
I guess it is an FPS based on a comic book series!

Seems like an interesting idea.
It is a horror and old western crossover.
It isn't survival horror, but more like RE4..
Only not as graphic or violent.
It is really giving me a lot of Gauntlet vibes.

Seems fun, but I picked it up to flip it :)

I also traded in a few things to my LGS.
I have a decent stack of resale stuff..
A good fraction of it though is just not worth the time.
Decided to swap it out to add to my GameCube library.
Of course I didn't get much value for the trade in.
But I could at least snag some cheap stuff I didn't already have.
Anyway, here is what I got:

Drome Racers - GameCube
Swingerz Golf - GameCube

More or less some 'filler' stuff.
But I think I will get some play out of these!

Drome Racers is a Lego game.
But it is much different than the more recent Lego titles.
For one, the characters are more realistic than little Lego people lol
It is basically a kart racer.
You upgrade cars with new Lego pieces.
You shoot items at are enemies
So on and so forth.
It is not great, but a decent game!

I thought Swingerz had voice acting by Steve Carrell..
But after playing it for a bit I think that is actually Outlaw Golf.
I always get the two games mixed up
It is weird to see Eidos sports game.
But ya know what, it's a pretty decent one!

I really quite enjoy golf games.
I especially like Mario Golf on the GameCube.
Sometimes I will play the game while listening to a podcast.
It is a nice way to relax.
Swingerz Golf looks almost identical to that game.
...just without the crazy course obstacles.

The cover of this game is also very misleading..
It seems like it would be whacky and full of obnoxious 'attitude'
But it is actually quite tame.
There is really only one weird thing about it:
An old Asian woman who stands next to the tee when you putt.
She gives me the creeps lol

HomeRun King - GameCube
Madden 2003 - GameCube

Yeah nothing special here lol
Some real shelf filler with these pickups.

I am somewhat interested in HRK.
I like sports games, but usually more arcade than sim style ones.
Sega is pretty good in this department.
Their sports games tend to hit right in between.
Maybe it's a good game?
I will probably check it out eventually.

Grabbed these two games for simple reasons.
They were cheap, complete, and I can mark them off the list :)

Didn't pay anything for these last 4.
Traded in these games to get them:

Monkey Ball Banana Blitz - Wii
Jeopardy - Wii
Samba de Amigo - Wii
Sega Bass Fishing - Wii
Jambo Safari - Wii
Medal of Honor Rising Sun - GameCube
Spiderman - GameCube
Streak - PS1
Star Wars Phantom Menace - PS1

Some doubles, some just mediocre.
Nothing I can't live without!

You are too kind, thanks!
I passed my exams. All that is left is to wrap up my dissertation lol
But I have a couple years of funding left so I can take my time.
For now anyway

It’s been a joy to keep this blog.
Lots of stuff has come and gone!
I enjoy looking back on it and sharing the experience!

Sold the remaining doubles/loose GameCube games from that lot I picked up the other month as an online auction.

Sold
Tony Hawk 4 - GameCube
Monsters Inc - GameCube
Naruto Clash of Ninja (Greatest Hits) - GameCube
Spider-Man (Greatest Hits) - GameCube
Burnout (Disc Only) - GameCube
Marvel Nemesis (Disc Only) - GameCube
WWE Day of Reckoning (Disc Only) - GameCube

Only got $18 for the lot..
Was kind of expecting a little more.
But it was all things I didn’t think was worth selling individually.
Plus, shipping expenses really cut into the profit here.
Oh well!

Also, Lukie Games is who ended up purchasing it.
Kind of weird

This is amazing, I’ve picked up GameCube games here and there over the past few years intending on flipping it all at some point but can’t bring myself to do it!

It's people like you who looked at a stupid 11 year old me upset that we got a super nintendo with super mario world instead of sega with sonic, who asked the right questions and recommended final fantasy as my first game on my brand new playstation (the original ps1).

Rock on.
