Bought a couple PS2 games from Goodwill

NFL Street PS2

NFL Street 3 sold quickly so here is to hoping I can I flip this too.
It's actually worth a little bit more..
Black label too.

It's kind of a bland pickup, but it's hard to complain!

Kinetica PS2

I had never heard of this game but the cover art really intrigued me.
I looked up a review and it seems like a really cool game!

It's an arcade racing game that looks a lot like Fzero.
I wish I could give it a try, I love these types of games.

Kinetica seems like a forgotten game.. It's not worth anything or ever mentioned.
Sony published it so they must have been quite impressed with it.
I think it is an early PS2 release and looks much better than anything you would see on the PS1.

There is just a lot of cool detail with box art and manual.
The manual isn't even really a manual, but an art book of the racer models:

It was too neat to pass up :)

Paid $5 for the pair.

Was back in my home town after the holiday weekend.
My friend was cleaning out his old room and gave me a few things he had boxed up and wanted to get rid of.

2 Xbox 360 controllers

They work, and their worth their weight in trade in credit!
Always happy to pickup a controller to trade up for a game.
I don't really understand why my local game store gives $10-$15 (condition dependent) for them.
It seems like everything 360 related is worthless except for the controllers lol

9 Xbox/Xbox 360 games

All pretty common stuff, but a few goodies in there.
Oblivion was great... I think this was actually my copy that I let him borrow back in highschool lol.
I was really disappointed with Fable 2 from what I remember.

Played alot of FPS on Xbox live back in the day, but these games don't hold a lot of nostalgic value to me.
What I have nostalgia for is the online experience. It really just feels odd to play couch co-op with a game like that.
And really, I don't have many friends interested in doing it to even make it worth keeping around.
If I had an Xbox One, I would be playing Halo's Masterchief Collection non-stop though

Early Model PS3

Fuck yeah!
I was really happy he was willing to give this to me.
I have a PS3, but I have wanted an early model one because they are PS2 compatible.

It's a pretty incredible machine and really saves a lot of space.
I don't play many PS3 games, but having PS1 and PS2 games display well in HDMI makes this a great addition for me!
They still hold a lot of value too..

Importantly, I finally have a way to play PS2 games :)

Picked up a console I have wanted for a longgggg time!

Sega Saturn

Finally I have a Sega Saturn!!
I've only seen one in person a handful of times lol

There are plenty of listings online, but I am really hesitant to buy consoles from an online seller.
Old consoles eventually fail, and something from the mid-90s may work from a quick test only to crap out from more regular use.

I found this at my local game store, they said it was the first one traded in in the last 4 years at least.
It is in incredible condition. Looks like it was almost never played.
I just couldn't pass up the chance.

I traded in the Xbox 360 controllers, the 9 Xbox/360 games, and my Playstation 3 (the non-PS2 compatible one) +$45 for this.
Not exactly cheap, but a great deal.
My birthday is coming up this month so I decided to splurge just a little bit B)

I have only a handful of games... I'll have to start looking for some deals.
I'll have to save up some money too. It's not like Saturn games are cheap lol
I need an action replay to get some import games too!

Happy Day!

Some nice finds in the bargain bin at my local game store:

Soviet Strike PS1
Cubix Robots for Everyone PS1

Some mediocre PS1 titles.

Cubix is a racing game.
The view is top down but the perspective gives you no view of upcoming turns.
Really not very good, but the disc artwork looks nice lol :)
I think it is a licensed game? I'm honestly not sure.

Soviet Strike is an early PS1 title that was also available on the Saturn.
It's a helicopter combat game.
These types of games seemed popular in the 90's but it's a little hard to go back to now.

Virtua Fighter 4 PS2
Devil May Cry PS2

Two games I've never played, but have definitely been familiar with.

Virtua Fighter is a classic fighting series but the PS2 entries moved away from the polygonal style of the orignal arcade games.
Kind of a shame in my opinion. Moving away from that style makes hard to stand out from just a generic fighting game.
Now that I have my backwards compatible PS3 I messed around with it for a while.
It's definitely not bad... I just don't play alot of arcade fighting games.

I learned recently that Devil May Cry was actually first conceived as a Resident Evil game.
It is kind of hard for me to believe because of how much of a left turn this game took from classic RE.
I've never played it, but don't plan on hanging on to it.
I just don't have much interest in collecting PS2.. There will be some exceptions though for sure.

Nights Journey into Dreams Wii
Red Steel Wii

Pretty excited to pick up Nights.
Nights is one of those Sega franchises I've never had a chance to play.
It's a series that debuted on the Saturn which means no one really played it lol
But it was developed by Sonic Team back when they actually made good games.

It's cool they brought some life to the series with a Wii game.
I'm not sure if it is a re-release of the original or an entirely new game.
It's kind of a simple game, an on-rail coin collecting game.
That type of game with the Wii motion controls makes a lot of sense to me!
I will give it a playthrough soon :)

Red Steel was actually the first Wii game I ever saw in real life.
I guess that wasn't Wii sports anyway
I was really blown away at the time.

I didn't get much of a chance to play it back then, but I here it really suffered from poor motion controls.
As an early release game, I guess it may have over estimated the capabilities of the Wii.
I hear Red Steel 2 is actually a much better game...
But I'm happy to have the original :)

Got all these games for $6. Pretty sweet deal!

A nice little goodwill haul to start my weekend:

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Playstation 2

PS4 games sometimes pop up at goodwill, but usually an earlier sports title.
Skyrim is a nice find, especially complete and in good shape.

I like the Elder Scroll series, but I haven't played them in quite a while.
It's an amazing series, maybe a little over-hyped in my opinion..
But it is definitely a solid game!

The King of Fighters 2000/2001 Playstation 2

I didn't know this existed!
There are like a million PS2 games out there so it's not that surprising I guess
But I like the idea of multiple game collection.

King of Fighters is a great 2D fighting series.
Many PS2 games aren't very collectible but this is a decently valuable game.
I'll probably mess around with it some and sell it off :)

Yet another Xbox 360 controller..

It seems like every other post is a 360 controller lol.
I wonder if my local game store is going to quick taking in my controller trade ins?
I think this is the 7th controller I will try to trade it hahaha

Got this lot for $8. Heck yeah!

Need to expand where your looking for them. Granted most of mine came from hitting the local flea market every week. But I'm getting more off market place these days in lots for sale. To name a few larger finds, in the last 2 months-ish I've gotten a cib gargoyles quest 2, loose nes bonks, a loose aero fighter's, and a minty loose 1st gen sega gen with 1st gen cd and 32x off market place. If you count the lots I had to buy for all of that I'm out roughly $300, but that's not counting the slew of commons, a few game guides, a boxed xband, and a mix up of random that came with them.

Dang, you found some nice stuff.
Those are all pretty pricey games :)

There isn't a good flea market in my area.
Mostly just antique malls with vendor booths that don't turn over merchandise often.
I check them a couple times a year but have yet to find anything crazy.

Most of my finds are just from stopping by Goodwill or Half Priced Books 1-2 a week on my way home from work.

Sold off some PS1 games as an online auction:

Cubix
Need for Speed 3
Ridge Racer
Tony Hawk 4
Soviet Strike
Final Fantasy 7 (greatest hits)
Final Fantasy Anthology (greatest hits).

Got $41 for the lot.
Was hoping for a little closer to $50, but I'll take the money.

Only painful thing to let go of was FF7.
But it had sat on my shelf for well over a year never touched.
It's a good game, but there are many other good games on my backlog.
Just hard to devote time to re-visiting a game that is 40 hours +
