Subaru's have had head gasket problems for the last 20 years consistantly and the newer ones and most of the 2000's have glass transmissions, thats why I dont want a Subaru.

Whatever. imo= all vehicles have their weak points, especially when they reach 10+ years old and over 100k miles. All depends how they were driven during their lifetime.

I've read of people complaining about the head gaskets but still.....it's usually after a lot of miles.

Clearly you arent much of a Subaru guy if you've only "read" of the hg issues.

Oh and the new ones have transmission issues including my buddie's 2016 just needing $15k worth of transmission work, thank god it was covered under warranty.

15k worth of tranny work lmao

They wouldn't even buy the car back with a brand new tranny for that much

Shit he could have fabbed in a 700r4 or t400 for less than that shit

Oh boy the tranny is worth 2/3 of the car after it drives off the lot.

Hows it getting taken by the dealership when its covered by the warranty....?

The invoice still shows what it cost overall...he paid nothing. (i honestly think you have some sort of disability for not understanding this the first time around)

More reason to not get Subaru, imo.

I mean I have a two Subarus, want to has about 386k on it and the other has 180k. Both run just fine. I still perfure something rwd though. Now if you want to get complicated the issue of the head gasket is mostly the responsibility of the first owner when they take it off the lot they shouldn't abuse the engine. And if that's the reason you're looking for other cars I beg you please do not buy new cars anymore I would hate to have something pre-owned by somebody who doesn't know how to take care of the car.
