Hey all,

I used to play Neopets A LOT back in the day, but I would get account after account frozen for literally doing nothing. For any of you that have experienced this, you know how frustrating and annoying it is... Or perhaps you get muted for saying the word "grape" too much on the boards (grape isn't even allowed to be posted)...

Anyways, because of the poor user-experience a few friends and I have decided to take it upon ourselves to create a NEW old-school pet-game (already in development for several months now). The game would be quite similar to Neopets in terms of using 2D pet images, leveling your pet & battling/restocking. We're creating a few different features for users to enjoy.

Some of the MAIN features of the game would be:
-Battling
-Restocking
-Item trading/reselling
-Chat/Forum
-Avatar collecting
-Battle high score tables
-100x better user-experience

** If any of you have some ideas you'd like to incorporate, feel free to post those here too.

If any of you are interested in the game or trying out the beta, let me know and I'll get in touch with you when it's the right time. Only looking for people interested in playing a similar game that will provide that nostalgic feeling from back in the day.

PS I used to be a fairly popular member here when Diablo II was big... My account here had like 30k FG (before I spent it) and like 30k forum posts.. I completely lost the password/email and wasn't able to recover the account using the forms here so I made this account a couple years ago now. I am LEGIT in case you were wondering.

I'm interested in a neopets that caters to it's mature players. I'm however not interested in a more buggy game. I understand you have ambitious goals and don't know your background in website/game design, but you also may not realize how much time and effort went into neopets, besides the marketing investment they've done over the decades.

If I were you I'd continue fleshing this project out, as it may be used part of your CV to work with bigger gaming companies.

Although one of my favorite aspects of neopets is competing for trophies in flash games
I hope you can incorporate that somehow

true, only reason I did BD was for the easy trophies.

I'm interested.

I will have trophies, but they will be based on 1-player challenger leaderboards and other various events rather than "flash games" (many people cheat at games like that since scores can be sent in a data file without actually playing the game).

I will be posting an URL here in approx 1 months time looking for beta testers. Should be fun!!
