Sorta like what happened when the DLC shyt started. If everyone would have just ignored it...we wouldn't have DLC.
A fair amount of people are drawn to this style of gaming nowadays.
Games that are undeveloped gives more of an open, unrestricted feel; as long as core principles are in place of course. Exploits and bugs become part of the experience - players feel immersed in the development.
Company spending is cut as well since it doesn't need to be flawless. It's a win-win.
