Paid classes are usually more in depth and more well thought out than youtube videos. Also, if you pay for it you're more likely to actually do it.

I can't speak to how it compares to other books but it is the book I used during school.

It basically gives you a task, shows you how to do it, asks you to do some more on your own, then has questions to test your understanding.
