Our situation isn't nearly as desperate though, I hope you guys work it out soon. But we just had a murderer go acquitted as well, and his kill was even recorded. There is no amount of evidence that can convict a police officer of murder in the US.

If everybody had guns we'd at least have a proper fire fight.

This seemed like a difficult situation, a mob charging the police, warning shots didn't help, their bikes don't give protection, no water canons, no gas grenades, no rubber bullets.
They were not properly prepared with the mentality of the protesters. Would they be lynched if they didn't get out earlier, or fire the aimed shots ?

He was clearly violent and resisting orders. Justified IMO.
