I've heard of many people recommending this. But in a company that primarily uses excel spreadsheets as a front-end and SQL server/access databases as a backend; Does python still have the ability to gather data from disparate sources and display them in that particular medium?

I don't know your exact use case but yes.

Just recently completed work on a full project.

It's a Work Order/PM system for my job (But can be applied to any kind of technician or something type of work)

Wanted to see what other programmers thought of the layout/flow and ect.

https://youtu.be/4q18FR8samM

The video is long AF, did it to demo the software for my company (And if you have any interest in Arduino, the first section and later on demo an Arduino project I built to supplement the Software/everyday use)

I've only been working with VB for ~8 months, my only other programming background came from AutoIt3 which I used for years and have no formal education.

Thanks!

Python does almost everything, so yes.

get a job, any job, but make sure the company doesn't suck balls and you are at least half interested in the product.

A few years in, you'll probably have a better idea of where you want to go.

I would not suggest security without at least years of solid background in the areas around it.

If you are serious about it, do as much as you can on your own to learn about it, get involved in open source projects, and see if you can offer some light security consulting to the places you work for in the mean time.
