Okay so I've been playing for a few months now and I've shaved my handicap from 30 to mid 20s, I'm still bad, but getting better. I've basically eliminated all the miss-hit-top-the-ball-10-metres shots out of my game now and can consistently strike the ball flush on the club head.
What's the best way to shave shots from here? E.g: what kind of practice routines should I be doing?
Right now I'm playing 36 holes a week, 2 rounds of 9 on week days after work, and 18 in comp on Saturdays.
Should I spend an extra night each week hitting say, 200 iron shots, then the following week spend an extra night hitting 200 bunker shots/chips, then the following 300 putts from different distances... Etc etc. or simply just play more and more rounds of golf?
What is the best routine for improving?
