I'm well aware you can use headsets, it's just the notion that you need your phone out running a third party app to use voice support that is absurd.


Nintendo been very clear about the entire thing. Is the app not required when you are in portable mode? Only at home?

2 of my friends prefer to chat with the cell app instead of in game chat

So u seem to be the only one complainning about this features

If I am going to use my phone to talk to friends, what is even the point of nintendos app, why not just use discord or skype? The benefit of in game voice chat is the convenience, not having to micro manage my phone, having multiple devices out, keeping phone properly charged (dies enough as it is).


It'd be cool if the app was optional, there is no reason to have it as the only option aside from lazy developers .

The benefit of having voice chat is so you can talk to your friends. The convenience is simply expected now days. Either way, I made this thread to see if other people pre-ordered and were as excited as me. I don't know why you have to keep coming back here to shit on the Switch and protect your pride. We get it, you don't like the Switch and you have to try and convince others to make yourself feel better.

They just released the prices for Nintendo Switch Online. It's going to be about $15-25 a year
