Nevermind. I fixed this by running as administrator but now when I try to log onto Battle.net it gives me the 'Unable to Connect' message.

And now its also pulling up 'Unable to identify version' error message...

Go to d2 folder. Right click on BNUpdate then run as administrator

I did this, and it fixed my first problem but after the patch downloaded, exited Diablo II window and gave the 'patch update successful' popup window, I reopened Diablo II: LOD with administrator and was stopped by 'Cannot Connect', which then switched over to 'Unidentified Version'.

Oh my God, this some bullshit.

Uninstalled both and reinstalled both. Ran as administrator. Patch update. Says successful. Unable to identify.

Try redownloading? Something I don't want to do.. But is that my only option?

Can someone please fix this?
