Yes, the concept is proven to work. In my posts, I have said good things about the concept.

But usually whenever they take a good old movie and remake it, the modern one is crap. That's how it happens 90% of the time. And the trailer (which I have said bad things about) exhibited the the typical themes caused all those other remakes to be the be bad (action, sex, flashy effects etc)

I personally saw great atmosphere, acting and bunch of plot twists. I didn't rly see much action at all

It's simple marketing, the masses do. It's not a show made specifically for you and your impressive brain function.

But show will be character driven and very good regardless, can't judge a tv series of all things based on a 2 minute trailer.

Well, if the thread was asking whether the trailer made the show look like it would be profitable for HBO, then I would have said yes. But I was just sharing my opinion about whether or not I thought the trailer made it look like the show would be good (which it obviously did not).



Which is exactly what my first post in this thread was all about. Trailer was bad, but can't judge the series until we see 4 episodes.

Just saw another ad for this, show starts next Sunday Oct 2nd on HBO.

I was checking my digital tv guide a few days ago and i checked that channel for a whole month and nothing was listed.

Maybe only the American HBO is going to show it - TV in Canada is practically communistic at times.
