Obviously cerb needed to be done but there were many flaws in it, and we will be paying for those flaws for our entire lives.

I mean, the cut off for qualifying had to be somewhere. It does seem arbitrary to set it $1000, but how do you justify higher or lower amounts?
I am pretty uninformed on the entire CERB program as I was fortunate enough to not need it and therefor didn’t look into it. This makes my point of view from the outside looking in.
Perhaps different amounts based on your income, instead of a flat value?
You also can’t attribute 100% all of the financial hole we have found ourselves in on CERB. Who knows what state we would be in if CERB didn’t happen.
