Easy to say that now sure. But we didn't see Hopper or know for sure at the end of S3. There was at least some mystery to it.

The story would have been better if Hopper died. Season 3 should have been the last season. I’ll still watch season 4, but I got that feeling that it will be crap.

Totally agree. The whole "fake death" thing is so trite.

Barb dying in S1 really felt like it gave the show some balls. But since then, the show has just introduced new characters so that they can be killed off for fake drama points.
