can anyone who saw it pm me tldr with spoilers? from the summary, it sounds like monsters kidnap a kid and the mom tries to get the kid back?

That's a basic mostly accurate description. Except the kidnap part, the kid is taken but it isn't really kidnapping.. More like hunting for a meal.

Nah it's not a cheesy kids show.
Best summery I've seen is 'Steven Spielberg meets Stephen King'
It's that sort of vibe. Feels like an 80s scifi with suspense/mystery.

I'm on the third episode and I don't find it cheesy. It's has some good lines, and it's definitely making me watch more.

There are kids in it, yes, but that doesn't always mean it's cheesy.

I'll probably be able to finish to today or early tomorrow.
