Dude, we went over this last season. Somewhere in this sf is all the stats I'm referring to.
The NFL even drafted a law forcing the players to act like adults.
The union (this season) quashed it. But the fans will have their way in the end. The advertisers will see to that.
you're looking at the world in rosy colored glasses old man. as per the usual you fail to factor in anything that doesn't fit your worldview.
kneeling is a contentious issue, that doesnt mean the NFL is 100% against it. it means they are getting flack and bad PR from both sides, and as a business they want to stop that bad PR. and in typical NFL style they fuck up and make a terrible confusing rule that needs to be redone. they do the same with rules on gameplay regularly, they make terrible decisions on commentators, etc
people in the middle of the issue with no horse in the race are tired of the issue, another factor you aren't letting into your false dichotomy. advertisers don't like bad PR, it leaks into their brand, another factor that doesnt make it through your thick gourd.
this isnt some "america overwhelming doesnt support kneeling, wants it banned, and the truth will out" issue. no matter how much your simplistic brain needs it to be boiled down that potently.
