Okay, I wasn't actually shooting the wedding, but it's the first time I've taken photos at a wedding.

the d750 and the 50mm held up really well.

First was a little unsharp? Maybe a little longer shutter time and a little higher ISO (for light if needed) would be better. He could be a little more in center, or edited better.

Second was really great, loved that one.

Third had good focus, a little different angle would be better, hes shoulder is very dominating in the picture and also not sharp (of course) but hey.

Nice work.

I agree, the first shot is a little out of focus (looks like your focus point was the tip of the nose).

When you keep the colors warmer, think about whitening the teeth a little bit. Warmer colors will make yellow teeth yellower. In lightroom this is easily fixed by painting over the teeth and reducing the temperature of the shot just where the teeth are.

On a portrait shot, you can bring out the eyes a lot more too by playing with the brush in Lightroom.

Your D750 is a lot more capable!!! I have a D750 and a 50mm 1.8G as well :)

Here's an example of what you can do with a bit of editing. Hope you don't mind! Trying to demonstrate. This was just a quick 3 minute edit from your JPeg version. You could go for a contrastier look, or a more washed out wedding look. I chose to bring down the greens a little bit. I think all three shots look better in black & white though.

first portrait is a little unsharp

I suggest throwing it in photoshop
copying the image with Ctrl + J
Setting copy layer type as linear light
going to filter > Other > High pass and setting the radius at 2.
Add a mask to that layer
Press ctrl + I on the mask
Use a brush set to the color white and paint on the layer mask over the eyes and glasses.

Lightroom has built in sharpening features.

The sharpening algorithm in lightroom is pretty pleb. Capture one is much better to be honest!

good quality, but i would definitely use a whitener on the teeth whenever taking photos in that lighting.

Isn't it possible to whiten the teeth in Photoshop after taking the shot?
