Abhaya led the way at times. The foes here are indeed hearty in their constitution, but the corpses they leave behind are just as lifeless.

We kept to our quarters for a night and a day. It is often wiser to move under the guise of darkness.

Abhaya spent some time on her own, questioning the keepers of this fated city. I feel no pity for those who would leer with too strong a gaze, none took her offer to meet at the city gate for a challenge. Even fools wish not to perish in haste.

All the more, Abhaya's studies are bearing new fruit. This device may yet be of further use.

Atma, if your life has brought you to this moment -- of what use was the path? Is it to suffer as a misplaced thought, rendered and quickly forgotten? We saw great tomes in the catacombs, but even their illustrious nature molds away in the dank stench of tombs.

Abhaya wept for the girl once more, alas we have failed her again anew.

Leaning against the ruins here, seeking shade; I can sense the loss that she conjures in her memories. Fear not friend, when the moon is high; we enter the first tomb to revel in suffering.
