Might I inquire as to your profesional opinion on why under 130g is as you say "stupid"?

I like man! Best friends got a massive tank and his light can imitate weather patterns of Australia, its sweet, like when there's a storm it'll imitate a storm, etc. I'll post a pic of his tank! One sec

I'm far from a "professional" but at the cost it takes to maintain your tank, it wouldn't be much of a leap in cost for a 130 gallon.

Marine tanks are expensive, no doubt about that...small or large. I just see it as being pointless to have a small tank.

To maintain a fully stocked tank of that size would require double what I am putting into per month. Double the calcium/alk supliments. Double the salt. Double the water. But the cost isnt why. Its about esthetics. The size of the room a tank goes into. And several other factors. Plus I had a 120 and the amount of tank husbandry per week was more than I wanted to do. This hobby boils down to personal preference.

I don't own one anymore, eventually I'll get back into it.
It's been a hobby of mine since I was 10 years old though, moving around as much as I do though, a freshwater tank would be a pain, let alone marine or brackish.

I'm not talking shit, so I hope you're not offended, your tank looks amazing. I just wanted to share my two cents brotha.

If I still use this site, I'll be sure to post a thread or pm you a picture as I plan to make a reef tank which revolves around a platax pinnatus, as well as an agressive tank for the triggers. I'm sure you would appreciate pictures.

E/ replace that powder blue with a black or purple tang IMO.
