Hey brother. Congrats on your time clean.

Been prob 3 years now for me. Stopped counting and believe it or not, don't really think about drugs or drinking anymore.

Key for me was people places and things bro. Gotta find new friends new places to spend your time. Being around the people and places you used with will make it nearly impossible to succeed.

Hard to leave them behind. Seems cruel, but if they aren't coming with you, you have to let them go or you will continue to damage them as well.

It is very hard early on. It does get easier as the center of your life migrates from where it was. Just have to keep moving forward. All we can do brother.

all of us had some addiction, at a random point in our lives. This forum is about games, many had an addiction to games. Or other addictions like eating, drugs, cola and sugar, porn, who knows. Gotta be righteous in our lives!

remember something for us all...the more you try to be good the harder evil forces will pry you back, its supposed to be a battle..stay strong

when life pushes, push back

I've found this to be especially true in my prior attempts at sobriety and a life walking with Jesus

Just an update though I am still holding on too my sobriety but I feel my motivation is definitly tested at times its hard for me to find a balance between being free from addiction to enjoy life and simply becoming a slave to my efforts not too use drugs, if that makes any sense at all

But I definitly need prayers and I definitly need to pray more and stay in closer conscious contact with God

An update I'll be 3 months clean very soon I have a great new job now and god has blessed me and my wife with our first child is on the way! God is so good truly blessed
