presentation =/= good food

and that portion size can't even feed a kid

Most of them are appetizers. Dunno if you ever heard of that. You understand the concept of a 3, 4 or 5 course meal? Probably not. Go eat your biscuit and gravy at your local dirty dinner. Thanks.

Nice looking dishes chef.
Personally not a fan of this new style of "haute" cuisine.

This is what I call a proper restaurant dish (from menu at Harvey's by Marco Pierre White):

On the one hand, I'd agree about some modern presentations that they look like nothing more than an item with a bunch of stuff surrounding it that was chosen more for its color than because it complements the dish.

But those definitely look outdated.
