Science and god belief are fundamentally two different things. "God" is not falsifiable, therefore it is completely incompatible with science. You might as well be comparing sadness with iron. it just doesn't make sense.

“The God excuse, the last refuge of a man with no answers and no argument.” ― George Carlin

Mathematics is not falsifiable either.

Mathematics has no agency, it has no substance... it isn't an object. Mathematics is a tool we use to understand and describe things. It is not in and of itself a 'thing'. Your rebuttal makes no logical sense. The existence of mathematics is falsifiable however.

The indispensability arguments are convincing enough imo.

Also - how would anything that has properties not be an object? We can certainly talk about the properties of various mathematical entities.

It's a quick way to remind folks of the existence of non-falsifiable, non-empirical facts that are still true.

when I was young, i was a bit good at math. but now i need it only to know how much my shopping cart costs. who the f*ck need logarithms and trigonometry and ecuations ? ye nice education system, they teach you ecuations but when did you solve one in real life ?

now God, that has hardcore applications. consider this: God made Eve to please Adam. Now that's a very valuable theorem, guys!

Hmm , my store lets me use the shopping carts for free, if your store is charging you for them - it probably has nothing to do with a lack of math skills.

And Adam and Eve is a creation myth, not a theorem.

There is no scientific method, but there are scientific methods.

Science is a social construct - it can't exist outside of the actions that create it and are then named.

I use advanced math all the time at my job.

My wife the engineer ☺ Jet engines don't build themselves and their equipment breaks a lot.

It sure helps me when I'm doing budgets and program evaluation planning plus payrolls and grant writing and logic models...

Its good if you wanna be boss one day ☺

Anybody that talks about the RFID chip being the mark of the devil, or Obama being the anti-christ is living in crazy town and it's just complete fear mongering to get into your mind and control you. And talking about the end of the world apocalypse is just more fearful crap, because Life (mine or anyones) could end tomorrow or in 50 years and society could end tomorrow or never - really there is absolutely no point in worrying about it because there is absolutely nothing you can do to change it.

Hold on, you can capitalise god, but not at the start of sentences?
