Brady just said he'd be retiring "sooner rather than later". I think that's a fairly clear indicator that it'll be after this year, but who knows. No shit though, he's going to be 41 before this season starts lol. It's just funny because his stance has always been "I'm going to play forever", or "I'm going to play until I suck". Obviously I'm paraphrasing, but even after him having another year at the SB with great stats again, he's talking about hanging it up finally. I think it's a good thing, he should call it quits before he completely wrecks himself or runs off a cliff. It's stupid he's made it this long already.

I wouldn't be mad at all if we brought him in, competition is usually a good thing. Plus with edelman facing a 4 game suspension (lts in appeal but likely will be upheld), another vet WR could be of value to us. Depends on his health i guess.

Also, according to a new NESN article (Mike Cole author, sites MMQB's Albert Breer as well), New England "talked to" Detroit, Tennessee, Houston, and San Fransisco about a Gronk trade. The article notes that they weren't "shopping Gronk to the entire league", but were dangling him in front of those select teams. Lastly, it reports that a new deal w/ Gronk & New England is "likely" to happen, but "isn't imminent".

Yep, i think it's credible for sure. Glad they worked it out (i think) and i hope Gronk gets a new deal, he's earned it.
