I continue to be amazed by the dynamic range on the lens. the ability to pull back images that seemed doomed is really encouraging. The picture of the Stellar Jay looked hopeless on import, and on my Canon 60D it would have been. the bird was almost completely blacked out.

All I had to do was bring out the shadows and the bird came into full colour no problem, and the sky remained blue. The Canon (and pretty much any canon for that matter) would have had some really bad grain issues and the background would have washed out.

The D750 truly is an amazing piece of tech.

thanks!

So two days ago I managed to get a rare sighting for my area. This is the second year in a row a Tropical Kingbird has shown up in our area, but it's still way outside it's natural habitat.

The Owls are back!

And the timing couldn't be anymore perfect. I don't have my 150-600 back, but Sigma Canada has given me a sample lens to use while I wait for the mount on my lens to be changed. Apparently the 150-600s have to be sent to Japan for the service, as the north american facilities don't have the capability to do the service themselves.

Amazing customer service though. If you're thinking about a super telephoto, just one more reason to go with the sigma.
