but why dont they just jump on Trumps 2020 "promises made, promises kept"-bandwagon?
tax cuts, a thriving economy, deregulation and a business-friendly environment in general, peace talks with north korea, getting NATO allies to finally carry their fair share of the burden, giving the police the political backing that they had long been missing under the previous administration, a sharp decline in immigration levels, a tougher deportation regime, finally doing something about china's unfair and exploitive trade habits, improving relationships with key allies in the middle east, a firmer support for israel - those are all points that should appeal to the republican base.
why not mention those points, followed by something along the lines of "but we are not done yet. we need your vote to achieve a solid majority in congress that allows us to finally repeal obamacare, fund the rebuilding of our infrastructure and get the migration chaos under control"?
because most of them are out-of-touch, flimsy, get-rich-in-the-swamp types with limited persuasive ability.
President Trump is not of their ilk (which is a positive assessment of drumpf not most the gop congress). they just have (R) after their name when it comes to election cycles.
it would so simple to make a wide-net campaign ad blitz mentioning some of the parameters in your post and juxtaposing them against the lefty politician/rino politician/mainstream media’s contemptuous dismissal of what drumpf said he would do and what he has done/what has happened in the face of this group’s unified #resistance
in fact brb a few video clips put together and now i can be a political consultant
