the charsi quest is the imbue reward right? if we use a ethereal base will the imbue be reward be ethereal?

Yes imbue will always be eth if the input item is already eth

Now I am trying to figure out out what gives best odds at getting the rolls we need but I am reading conflicting information on decade old guides and forum posts. Some say crystal/dimensional swords have a higher chance of getting the mods we want over phase blades so is that true? And if it is does the same apply to kris/cindequas being the better options over an actual fanged knife?

does the item level matter? you want a crystal sword/dimensional because they can be ethereal, PB doesnt come that way.

This is purely because crystal and dimensional can be ethereal and phase cannot unless upgraded from one of the others in the cube.

Charsi quest is the best way to get ethereal rares, but it’s a crap shoot. If you want a shot at a great noneth fanged knife you can gamble one in act 4 or act 5 of hell. Just keep buying the Kris in the handle section until something rolls.

ink how does the imbue work? i mean does it need a high ilvl or a high chatacter lvl? Does it matter normal / nightmare/ hell? each character cab imbue 3 times

So based off of this and other stuff I have read we can essentially go for fools/cruel/quickness if either our character level or the quality (items level) level is high enough for the mods.

So what I think this this means is we can use low level characters if its a fanged knife, otherwise our characters need to be like 70+ to attempt to get those rolls on a kris or cindequas

I would really like to work out the exact numbers needed but it will take time
