For MLD sure, but not really HLD. Maybe if you're doing pub duels and need to battle a smiter with a two handed weapon, but that's a different sort of Fury build entirely.

So I have a question. How does one find a fools/4fpa weapon? Can they be cubed or do they basically just have to be found AND roll two sockets at larzuk?

And sometimes you will find a vendor in act 4 or 5 selling a cruel fanged knife of quickness or phase blade. They should get 3 sockets at Larz. Those magicals are far outclassed by ethereal rates, though.

As a note on the new game, it took a long time for any top weapons to appear on D2 LoD (there were only like two 4 frame ethereal pbs being used in east melee until like 2013+) , and it wasn’t until someone with a rollback method started using the Charsi quest over and over again that they flooded the market for a couple of years. I don’t expect there will be very many in D2R ever. Certainly won’t be like lod where dozens of people have them.

Griswold's Caduceus (gris caddy) is usable. 3x ed/ias and your choice of Lo, Um, Ber, or Eth rune. They all have uses.

Fanged knife can still work without being ethereal because knives get ed% bonuses from both strength and dexterity. So you can push the max damage way over 5k. Ethereal FK is still the king of 4 framers, though. 5 frame Seraph rod/Ettin axe is better for DPS though.

BotDz is a great weapon and you can build to it for more HP. Griefpb is unmatched for raw damage if it isn't banned where you are dueling. It's not as good as a rare ethereal fools against zeal pally/concentrate barb though,. but it is the best anti-Fury weapon.

Stop reading at “Furocious.” Also theres about a gazillion cookie cutter fury guides. Why not make something cool like fireclaw

Because fireclaws wasn't an allowed type on USEast melee ladders. And it can be resisted and absorbed to obsoletion anyway, whereas physical damage can't.
