The Draisatl contract was one of the few good things Chirelli did.



Free agent defenseman got so much money this off season I don't think they had much of a choice.

Edmonton is one of those cities that has to pay a premium to get players to stay.

Unless something drastic happens Mcdavid and Draisatl will be traded before their contracts expire.

Well they could've had nurse for much cheaper, like 5m to 6m range. They decided to wait to sign him after 2x bridges, that's on them lmao.

What demoralizing is they traded for Keith.... Like the dude specifically wanted out and come close to BC. What does the oilers do? Acquire him, with no retention, no nothing! Literally did Chicago a favor haha

But yeah, it's insane the team is so mismanaged for so long... I think even buffalo can't even fuck it up if they had 2 players getting 100+ pts a season.
