First Law Trilogy by Joe Abercrombie (the standalone follow up books are pretty decent as well. The Heroes is my favorite).

Valor, Malice, and Ruin all by John Gwynne, its VERY VERY dark, kind of slow moving but some pretty awesome books, Faithful and Fallen is the series name, its his first series much like pat Rothfuss

Never heard of any of these stories.

But, The Prince of Nothing trilogy by R. Scott Bakker is a genuinely dark and intelligent 'high fantasy' I believe the term is.
I'd highly recommend looking into it.

What is dark? I remember The Black Company being dark but i tried re-reading it and even Shadows Linger the second book, the one i loved the most is...meh.

All of R.A Salvatore books. Start with the first one. They're really good.
