I'm kinda iffy on it. Gameplay is fun. Guns are secondary to ability spam. Flying isn't as cool as it looked in the reveal, but we knew they slowed it down. It's pretty much just essential to move through the maps - they made them large enough that you need to fly but timed how long you can fly for.
Main concern is whether there's enough content to be worth it. People claim that it's going to be about super deep builds but I just don't see it. You have 3 abilities and some mod slots. You have to pair your abilities well to make use of their primer and detonator system but there's not much customization there. It's moreso element choices than deep RPG style customization. I think D2 subclass trees might be just as unique as Anthem's customization.
End game is going to need a lot of time to form. 3 strikes, Patrol multi-step quests, and once a day repeatable missions. The Strikes have varying difficulties, but all it really does is make enemies more bullet sponge-y. Master 1-3 with 3 being like 9000% more HP than 1 but how many times can you really play the same 3 missions before getting bored?
I think if people here are going to play it, I'll pick it up and have fun but I don't expect a ton of time out of it.
