If you are doing a home business with an ISP that's doing your hosting, you're doing something terribly wrong.

Which is not how you do hosting at all, choose a real hosting provider instead. You're also doing a disservice for your customers who use your hosting as well (shitty upstream, connectivity, routing, etc, etc)

I know people that host email services and data back up's out of their house along with many other services.

Home businesses should not be using their local ISP for hosting services. It's a disservice for the costumers, shitty upstream, connectivity, routing, etc. and AFAIK, comcast doesn't even allow it i think.

Never said a large hosting company can't provide a better service.
I'm unaware of the laws in relation to comcast but I'd assume thats state dependent.
But I can assure you not all companies have such stupid policies in regards to usage of a service.
I mean in a commercial environment you still risk the same failures. (IE: power loss/security threats/etc)
While hosting companies are more capable of handling these faults business have the right to host things them selfs.
With that being said the consumer has every right to choose who they want to do business with.
Its still a huge practice for many business small and large to operate in house.

If your going to come here and make such claims maybe do some research and get your facts in line first.
You've made so many assumptions at this point that I feel you can no longer dig yourself out of the hole you made.
