Intel retail edge is a program done through Intel and usually during June and December they have what's called winter and summer deals they give good deals on CPU's like for example getting an i7-5930k for 219 bucks. (Couple years ago when it was new release). Not sure what promotion they are doing this summer since I haven't looked in a couple years because there was no need to upgrade
